Update for Friday, July 30
LATEST NEWS:
- Scott Hileman will be having outpatient shoulder surgery on Wednesday, 9:00 am at St. Thomas.
- Phil Henry’s mother is in critical condition in Huntsville, AL.
- Rusty and Laura Campbell, Stephen and Alex left this morning for Michigan to visit with family. They will return to Portugal next week.
- Rachel Cox requests prayers for the David LaVelle family of Memphis. Their daughter, Liz, was killed in an auto accident as she was traveling to Nashville from the Memphis area on Wednesday. She was a 2009-2010 freshman at Lipscomb. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time.
- Inner City Ministry at Hillsboro is gearing up for the fall. Dawn Elledge needs the following craft items for the curriculum, “God’s light”: stars, paper of all colors, stickers, glue sticks, colored pencils and markers, etc. Donations may be left in the church office.
FAMILY UPDATES:
- Mike Fowler will undergo surgery for prostate cancer at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, August 3, at Baptist.
- Sophia Birdwell is doing well following her knee surgery on Tuesday.
- Jerry Flowers will be undergoing several medical procedures over the next few weeks.
- Mildred Wilson is recovering at home from a respiratory infection.
- Thank you to Sheila Montgomery and her team for a wonderful VBS 2010. The building was filled with excitement each evening as the children learned more and more about what an awesome God we serve.
