  • Thank You to everyone who volunteered and participated in our Bone Marrow Screening Drive yesterday! Thanks to your generous spirit we were able to register 121 potential donors and raised over $3500 to help DKMS find matches for those in need!

  • The Summer Quarter starts Wednesday, June 1 and children’s teachers/helpers are needed; please contact Sheila Montgomery (srm130@gmail.com) if you would like to volunteer for one of the following positions:
    • Sunday AM: Older 2’s helper; 4’s helper
    • Wednesday PM: Nursery 3 helper; Nursery 4 teacher; 2’s teacher & helper; Kindergarten helper


  • Father/Daughter Night – Tuesday, April 26 – 6:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall
  • Senior Sunday – May 1 – Following morning worship, we will have a congregational luncheon & afternoon devotional honoring our upcoming graduates. For those who wish to honor our seniors, a table for gifts or notes of encouragement is located in the hallway between the offices and the fellowship hall. Our honorees are: Butler Bowen, Grant Bricker, Madi Crow, Miller Duke, Drew Holliday, Justin Mays, Carter Montgomery, Alex Sears, Reed Sears, Will Tidwell, and Karlie Wigginton.
  • Men’s Cornhole Tournament to Benefit HYG Missions – On Saturday, May 7, the men of the Friends in Faith class will host a cornhole tournament to help raise money for the HYG mission trip to Honduras. All men are invited to this fun event! The tournament will be held at 4:00 pm at the home of Scott & Ann Price, and the entry fee is $10/person. The Hoss’s Loaded Burgers food truck will be there; food is not covered in the entry fee. Sign ups are available in Bible classes and at the News & Notes board.
  • Sign up now for WinShape Retreat – Courageous Hearts, October 7-9. Spaces are filling fast! Cost is $588 for returning guests, and $294 for first-time attendees. Register online at hillsboro.org/winshaperetreatregistration

  • Bertha Bradley has been moved to West Meade Place, Room 3005, for extended care. Cards and short visits are appreciated.
  • Lynn Coles, daughter of John Coles, is at Centennial hospital for treatment of an ulcer.
  • Carol Harvey, mother of Vera Hutcheson, is doing better and has been moved to Woodcrest rehab facility.
  • John Muhire has requested prayers on behalf of his siblings & their families who are refugees living in Lusaka, Zambia. They are in need of prayers for protection, as their dwelling was ransacked during riots; they currently seeking refuge in the home of a Zambian citizen.
  • Margaret Smith will have knee revision surgery on Tuesday, to replace a previous knee replacement.
