Hillsboro Youth Group 2008
Nashville Workcamp is a fun and exciting week of serving those that need a little extra help here in the Nashville community. This event is open to all 7th-12th graders and friends. It is also a great opportunity to build teamwork and meet new people.

$85/person ($75/additional siblings)

($20 late fee for applications after deadline)
NEW RULE THIS YEAR We are not allowing ANY cell phone use during any activities at this event. Due to the 2007 CPC (cell phone crackdown) we have had to implicate this rule to prevent future complications between chaperones and teenagers.

2008 Review so far
Winterfest 2008 was a great weekend to get away and enjoy some time together on a hot bus and in a hot conference room! Despite the 24 hour sickness that landed on a few people, the weekend was great! Don’t forget to set your phones to 3:16 to remind you to say a prayer for a friend. Thanks to all those that were able to join us this year!
2007 Re-Cap
Wilderness Trek was simply breathtaking as we climbed to the top of Mount Grizzly! David Grayson & Clayton Landiss did a remarkable job as our crew leaders. Our group had nothing but encouragement for each other as we continued to climb & descend the mountain for 12 hours! Make sure to check out some of the pictures from our trip.
CAMP was awesome! We had a record number of campers this year and the late night worship was amazing! We want to thank all the staff and counselors this year for all the hard work involved in making this year one of the best years yet! Make sure to grab a camp picture and the “The Path” DVD!
Nashville Workcamp had to be the best way to start a summer! We had a great time hanging out together and especially working hard in the sun to help others that need our help right here in Nashville! Our group worked hard and really made a difference in the lives of the home owners.
Please continue to keep all the efforts of the HYG in your prayers as we constantly are trying to grow closer to Christ.
2007 Summer Re-Cap
Nashville Work Camp – Sharing our service with others in Nashville can really help us see God working through this effort. We had a great experience and are really looking forward to next year.
Camp 2007 – This year’s theme was the Path. We took a look at previous paths, the present path, & our future path in life. God blessed our week with great counselors and campers! The week was filled with praise, fun and great activities. Don’t forget to get a shirt and camp picture, plus DVD’s are ready for $5.
Sounds Faith & Service Day – Start the day off right with some hands on service at Rains Avenue and then sink your teeth into a ballpark dog. Most people wouldn’t ask for anything more.
Ocoee Trip – When you actually find the camp site at 1:00 AM and get 5 hours of sleep before going down the rapids, there really isn’t much more to say, except that it was AWESOME!
Night 2 Forget – I can’t forget it because the food at Kobe Steak House is simply unforgettable. After stuffing our stomachs full of rice we stopped for a photo opp at the Parthenon. Oh yeah, we were definitely dressed to impress!
Wilderness Trek – Simply amazing. God blessed us with safety and encouragement as we reached the summit of Mt. Grizzly.
Atlanta Trip – 14 innings of pure excitement against the Houston Astros was all it took to make this trip worth going. I can’t forget to mention the 2 AM Steak & Shake snack too!
Girls Escape – A great night for the ladies of the HYG. Mud masks and movies sum up the adventure Martha Johnson put together for our girls. Big thanks to Bethany Copeland for coming to speak too!
KY Kingdom – A bus full of gas station snack foods and cheap amusement park souvenirs pretty much sums up this hot trip to Six Flags. We had a great time though!
Pascagoula Mission Trip – This was our second trip to help the people struck by Hurricane Katrina. This time we were able to do some finishing work to help keep the passion alive in Mississippi.
