HONDURAS Mission
We had the opportunity to take a group of 24 people to Tegucigalpa, Honduras on July 9, 2008. We left the airport with ideas and plans of what we would see and experience together, but we had no idea of what God had in store for us that week.
We were able to complete a total of 5 houses for families but more importantly we gave them a place to call home. We also were blessed to experience something we never thought would impact our thoughts as much as it did. We traveled together to the Honduras waste dump. The smell alone was something we had to look past as we witnessed hundreds of people and families emerge out the piles of trash. Our bus became silent as we stepped out on the waste lands and began to hand out packaged meals and water. The people living there were very appreciative of our simple but generous gift to them. This was our opportunity to be who Jesus calls us to be as we looked past the outward appearance to see the smile on their hearts. It was an exhausting day of emotions but an unforgettable experience for all of us.
Sunday, we had the opportunity to worship with the Mateo Church of Christ where all of our men were able to be a part of the service. After services we also witnessed 4 baptisms. Our trip was truly a blessing for all of us.

Today’s teens are faced with so many challenges and it is a continual struggle to keep God first in their lives. We ask that you keep this ministry in your prayers because today’s youth are the leaders of tomorrow.
