Directions to Hy-Lake
We ask that Parents and Staff are the only ones that drive up to Camp.
Via 40 East (Cookeville or Sparta)
- Take I-40 East to Cookeville
- Exit 288 (Hwy 111) Turn Right toward Sparta hwy 111 south
- Follow 111 approx 18 miles – until it splits
- Take the split staying on the 4 lane toward McMinnville (it becomes Hwy 70)
- Follow approx. 5 miles
- Turn Right on to Cole Road
- Turn Left on to old Hwy 70
- Go Approx. 2 miles and the camp entrance will be on your left.
- If you get to the river – you have gone too far!
Via 24 East (Manchester)
- I-24 East to Chattanooga
- Exit 111 / McMinnville-Tullahoma (HWY 55)
- Go to McMinnville (Approx 20 miles)
- Follow signs to McMinnville HWY 55E (not business route)
- Pass McMinnville City Limits Sign
- Follow signs for HWY 70S (Sparta)
- Pass V.F.W. building on right
- Travel 8.7 miles to HWY 136N – Turn Left (convenience store on the corner)
- THERE ARE NO OTHER TURNS
- From this point, travel approximately 4 miles to Camp Hy-Lake
HWY 136N turns left in 1.7 miles - DO NOT TURN
- Continue Straight (Rock Island Rd becomes McMinnville Hwy at this point)
- Cross Caney Fork River Bridge
- Watch for HY-LAKE CHRISTIAN CAMP Sign
- Turn right into Hy-Lake
