Mission Trip | Packing List
In no particular order, a list of stuff you’ll need to bring:
- Passport in secure, dry covering
- 2 Water bottles (1 liter or larger)
- Medicines: motion sickness, Kaopectate or Immodium, Cortizone cream, prescription medicines (in labeled bottles), pain medications (Advil, Tylenol or aspirin), Pepto Bismol tablets (taken before meals), fiber pills
- Sunblock and lip balm, strong; mandatory
- Insect repellent (spray, not cream or lotion)
- Clothing: work gloves, work shoes, work clothes, other appropriate clothing, baseball or widebrimmed hat
- Toiletries: soap, shampoo, other stuff to make you clean and smell nice, shower shoes or flip flops (ask Jason), feminine needs, towels and washcloths
- Bandanas or scarves
- Sunglasses
- Bible, Journal and Pen
- Wet Ones/hand wipes (lots of them) and liquid hand sanitizer
- Camera/film in protective bag
- Flashlight/batteries (small)
- Dust-tight carry bag or backpack (for daily lunch, toilet paper, etc.)
- Snacks and lunch food (simple, non-melting such as nuts, granola, jerky, tuna, etc.)
- Powdered drink mix (for lunch)
- Toilet paper (travel rolls)
- rescription glasses (no contacts)
- Bed coverings: sheet, pillow, light blanket or sleeping bag
- Garbage bags (2-3 large, plastic)
- Phone cards (800 only…not 888)
