MARRIAGE & FAMILY MINISTRY / John Conger
Marriage Mentoring: Steve & Betty Townsend / Mentor couples share the joys, burdens, and realities of a life-long spousal commitment with young soon-to-be-married couples. Six, two-hour sessions are spread over a six-month period, in which engaged couples discover the building blocks of marriage. Based on the FOCCUS (Facilitating Open Couple Communication, Understanding and Study) Premarital Inventory, mentors act as guides through feedback sessions that discuss issues such as problem solving, money managing, staying committed, and sharing Godly love.
Life after Loss: Lee and Sue Richardson / Program provides correct action choices that help people move beyond the pain caused by loss. It is a twelve week program which creates a safe environment in which to look at old beliefs about dealing with loss; to look at what other losses have affected your life; and to take new actions.
Ladies Ministry: Jan Crowder / Coordinates and hosts several events designed to help the women of Hillsboro fellowship with each other and grow spiritually together. Some of the events include Soup-er Supper, Muffin Mornings, Spring Luncheons, Retreat, Ladies’ Newsletter, New Member Baskets, and Thursday morning Bible Class.
Ladies Bible Class: Donna Owens & Nancy Merritt / Provides weekly, in-depth Bible study for ladies interested in growing closer to God and each other. All ladies are invited and encouraged to attend.
Mens Ministry: John Conger / Develops new opportunities for men to be involved in community, service and spiritual growth so that they may be better connected to God and each other.
Men’s Retreat: Scott Saunders & Kevin Bowen / Plans and coordinates the annual fall retreat. This is a special time for growing closer to God and each other. All men are encouraged to attend this wonderful event.
Men’s Prayer Mornings: Randall Pardue / A dedicated time of prayer, fellowship and study held on the first Monday of every month, at 7:00 in the Fellowship Hall. All men are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Financial Counseling: Gene Brosky / Confidential counseling that helps individuals or couples address financial struggles and concerns. For more information contact the church office..
Parent’s Night Out: / One Friday per month, 4 families will host PNO, allowing other families to bring their children to the church building for a meal and fun time while parents go out.
