BENEVOLENCE MINISTRY
Rains Avenue Christian Care Center: Garvin Claiborne / RACCC meets the physical needs of the community (food, clothing, furniture, etc.) as an opening to teach the Gospel of Christ. Call Rains Avenue Christian Care Center at (615) 256-0408 and ask for Garvin Claiborne.
Room in the Inn: Shane Frazier & Beth Chambers / City-wide effort to meet the increasing need for housing for those who are homeless during the winter months (Dec. – Feb.). One night a week, at the Youth Encouragement Services facility, 12 men are provided with a place to sleep, a hot dinner, continental breakfast, sack lunch and a chance to fellowship with Christians.
Inner-City Ministry: City-wide effort focused on reaching out to the thousands of Inner City Children in Nashville, providing them with love, support and Christian teaching. Hillsboro hosts approximately 30 children on Monday evenings (through the school year) for Bible classes. Often, this provides the only loving and nurturing environment many of these children will experience in a given week.
Emergency Response Ministry: This ministry started in response to Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. Beginning with 3 truck loads of water and goods within days of the disaster, it has grown into an ongoing ministry supporting relief efforts. This ministry will position Hillsboro to be ready to respond to future physical needs in a quick and efficient manner.
