Special Events
Special events are a must for any family. Hillsboro is no different. We love to celebrate. Here are just a few of the special events we enjoy celebrating throughout the year.
New Spiritual Births are celebrated when one chooses to make Jesus their Lord and Savior in Baptism. Besides the immediate celebration, our shepherds honor new Christians with a gift that aids them in their growth as a new Christian.
New Births are periodically celebrated with a baby blessing. This is a great occasion that occurs periodically at the end of our morning worship service.
Anniversaries are celebrated each Sunday. A gift is given to couples who have reached five year milestone anniversaries. After someone has reached 60 years of marriage, they recieve a gift every year.
New Marriages are also celebrated with a shower or a tea. Around 10 couples a year choose to become a new family, and we rejoice with them on these special days.
Our High School Seniors are also honored each year as they graduate and look forward to the future. We rejoice with them at a reception, and they are honored with a special service.
