New Members
New members are important to us. Without fruit a tree would be worthless. That is why we take great care to give new members the tools, guidance, encouragement and opportunities necessary to feel a part of this new family. It is not always easy to come into a new fellowship and fit right in. It takes time, and we realize that. But we also know that we can do our best and establish avenues of promoting a culture of fellowship, ownership and service.
As part of our commitment to our New Members, we offer a New Member class with coaches that will help incorporate you into the life of the congregation. You will be asked to identify your interests and talents so they can direct you to a ministry that will best utilize your abilities.
Making sure no one falls through the cracks is important to us at Hillsboro. Our Shepherds take very seriously the instruction to be overseers of the flock. It’s woven into the fabric of our culture. Although we are not perfect by any means, we strive to help new members become active disciples who are connected and growing in their walk with God.
