Athletics
Hillsboro participates in Church of Christ league athletics administered by the Metropolitan Nashville Parks Department. With teams competing in both men’s softball and men’s basketball, our members are able to play in competetive games that maintain a Christian atmosphere and provide an opportunity to fellowship with each other. Game nights provide an opportunity for participans and their families to get to know one another better and enjoy each other’s company. Lifelong friendships have been formed while sitting in dugouts and bleachers.
WINTER 06-07: Hillsboro Youth Basketball
Our season came to an end on Thursday, February 15 with 3 point loss to Brentwood Hills. We finished the season with a 6-1 record which tied for 2nd Place in the league. John McMeen received the Team Leadership certificate and Mitchel Tenpenny received the MVP trophy for the Hillsboro Bears. We are looking forward to another exciting season.
SPRING 2007: Hillsboro Blue, Men’s Softball
Our games are every Friday night at Cane Ridge Park, 419 Battle Road (off Burkitt Road, I-24 and Old Hickory Blvd). Guests are welcome and encouraged to come out and cheer the team. Contact Bryan Bowen or call the church office for sign-ups or more information.
