Living It Dare #4

I hope everyone liked your cookies from last week’s dare. If your neighbors are like me, they are very thankful and would hope that the trend continues!
This week’s dare might be a little tougher, but then again, it might be the easiest dare so far. Living It Dare #4 – Share your favorite scripture with a co-worker, neighbor or friend. For many of you who have already created a habit of doing this, this will not be a stretch. But, for those of us who have a great fear of approaching anyone about spiritual matters, this dare will require a lot of courage.
First, take the encouragement Jesus gave to a bunch of scared and uptight apostles before He left this earth: “And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20b). If I know He is with me, then what do I have to fear?
Second, take a moment now and select a scripture to meet your friend’s needs. For those of you who may not know about www.biblegateway.com or www.youversion.com, these are great resource tools for finding scriptures and helping you as you study. The great thing about these programs is that they are free! Take a moment and explore. I think you will find the perfect scripture for that good friend. May God bless the accomplishment of your dare this week!
